We always use Glenis for home boarding when we go away on holiday. Our 4 dogs are totally contented and happy when they stay with her – when we drive up her street, we have 4 dogs with wagging tails looking forward to their holiday, and there is no apprehension whatsoever about them getting out of the car to stay with her, which says it all! We can relax on holiday knowing that our treasured dogs are safe, well cared for and content and I wouldn’t dream of letting them stay with anyone else as she treats our dogs as she does her own. Glenis is also used to the regular texts from us enquiring how our 4 dogs are – looking forward to now seeing them on Skype the next time we are away! If you want a stress free holiday knowing that your dog is well cared for, I cannot recommend Glenis highly enough.
Glenis at K9's and PoshPaws has been helping us with home boarding for our little 7 year old Yorkie called Zuzia for the last 6 months
She has been a breath of fresh air and the service is superb. She always keeps us up to date with what's going on with our little one and we really do trust her.
We were new to the Yorkshire area and previously used a sitter in Cheshire however Glenis is amazing and is really accommodating with any last minute requests and long stays for our little one.
Superb service and will continue to leave our little one with her, in fact we have just pencilled her in for a 2 week stay at the end of March whilst we are in Thailand.

I want to say what an excellent service K9s & Posh-paws Petcare offer,
I use their services regularly, but want to commend them especially on their home boarding service, it really is a fantastic home from home experience. I didn't have to worry about my dogs welfare whilst I was on holiday, as I attended a meet & greet welcoming, prior to leaving my dogs.
I found Glenis to be a true animal lover and carer, she is kind and really gave my dogs all the attention & time that I would have spent myself, they were never left alone, and kept in the same routine that I have and everything. I even got to see them while I was on holiday via the Skype system Glenis has set up.
My dogs were happy and extremely well looked after, I would recommend this service to anyone.
Glenis keep up the good work, you're doing amazing work and thank you!

I am very happy with the service received from Glenis and her team. Harry gets walked at least 3 times a week by Glenis and he is always happy to go and seems happy when he returns from his home boarding! I enjoy the fact that Glenis is flexible as my weeks vary and therefore so do my dog walking requirements. Glenis is always able to fit Harry in. Also, I really appreciate her initiative, as Harry is left outside if the weather is good, or put inside in not. I also use Glenis for boarding, and again, a great service and I know Harry is part of the family when he is with her.
We have a huge 14 month old Newfoundland called Millie, fortunately good natured and sweet, but she was very boisterous and uncontrolled. We couldn't get her to behave on the lead, grooming her was a nightmare and she point blank refused to get into the car!
We contacted Glenis for dog training with very little hope really but what an incredible lady she is. We have found that although we have met many 'experts' in various fields, most don't really inspire total confidence. Almost from the moment Glenis came into our home we felt confident that here we have someone that actually knew what she was doing.
Millie took to her immediately and to our surprise, somehow really wanted to please her. Her quiet confidence and 'no nonsense' approach impressed us (and Millie too). In no time at all, she had Millie behaving well on the lead, grooming her was no longer an ordeal and as quickly as only lesson two, she was hopping in and out of the car while barely missing a beat!!
We can't recommend this lady enough. She is warm and friendly, doesn't patronise and make us feel inadequate, but instils confidence in both the animal and owners. She is completely professional whilst at the same time, feeling like she is a friend offering advice.

I had two badly trained, but happy dogs until we accepted a third dog. Tilly was a very small Jack Russell, she was a lovely dog with the family but unfortunately aggressive towards my eldest dog. Whenever they met Tilly would attack her. Desperate to keep her I contacted Glenis for dog training.
Glenis was fantastic, very knowledgeable, firm but fair and clearly an animal lover herself. She put me back in control of all three dogs showing me not only how to control the aggression but also how to re-train all my dogs.
There is no miracle cure but with Glenis' training, time and patience I have three much happier and far better behaved dogs. Who said "you can't teach old dogs new tricks" - Glenis can!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Glenis to anyone who has a problem or training need.

I contacted Glenis when we got our new greyhound Blaze. He had failed his racing trials and never raced. Which also meant he hadn't had any form training e.g. walking to heel on a lead, basic stay, down, here commands, in fact he didn't even really answer to his name. He also hadn't been socialised with other dogs.
In the space of 3 hours – 2 1½ hours dog training sessions Glenis addressed these issues. So we now have a greyhound who is more confident walking on a lead due a doggy bridle, responds to clicker training, is ok with other dogs. All in all we have a very happy 4½ year old puppy!

We bought Roly in October 2008 when he was 4 months old. We had another dog trainer before Christmas who taught us the rudiments but in February 2009 when Roly was becoming 'difficult' we were lucky enough to find Glenis.
Roly had started to become aggressive whilst playing with us and on this occasion the 'mouthing' went too far and he had actually deeply bruised our (grown-up) daughter's arm. The skin was not broken and we were all in shock!
We are not experienced dog owners so we were very distressed with thoughts of having to give him up a real possibility. However, along came Glenis and literally in a matter of days, through her guidance and help, WE became the pack leaders again, a position we had unknowingly abdicated to Roly.
Glenis was precise and clear and uncomplicated in her teaching - she allowed us to see the benefit of consistency in dealing with our dog, she gave us an understanding of how young dogs like ours behave and how good behaviour needs to be reinforced in a kind and positive way.
By becoming pack leaders through OUR actions and verbal messages, our dog became more relaxed and very easy to cope with. He is now 8 months old and so is still a 'baby' in human terms but we recognise the signs and can nip any wrong behaviour 'in the bud' BEFORE it gets out of hand.
We believe we have made a friend and intend to keep in touch with Glenis and know we can turn to her at any time in the future should we need her help.
We very happily recommend this lady to any dog owner. She is a STAR!

We contacted Glenis for assistance with 2 of our 3 black labradors as they had developed an aggressive manner towards other dogs whilst being walked on the lead.
After an initial consultation, at which Glenis assessed the problem, we engaged in 3 sessions of corrective behaviour dog training with Glenis.
Following 2 sessions with Glenis in supervision and guidance from her on one to one training initiatives, I have seen a marked improvement in the dogs behavioural issues.
Glenis gave me the confidence to tackle the problem and has set us on the way to achieving a stable mindset with our dogs for many enjoyable dog walking experiences.

We rescued Talin from German Sheppard Rescue he's an Alsation cross with Husky, he's a large dog.
Talin had a few social problems when he came to us, we found it difficult walking him on a lead as he would jump out and be aggressive towards other dogs when we passed by.
I started to hate taking him for a walk as I was embarrassed as people didn't see him as a dog but an aggressive monster.
Glenis was recommended to us by a friend, over the next few months we attended dog classes to socialise him with other dogs.
Talin has progressed to go onto agility training in a larger group with dogs his own size.
This could not have been achieved without the support we received from Glenis at Posh Paws.
Glenis was able to offer solutions to some of Talins behavioural problems; he continues to make good progress.
I would recommend Glenis to anybody who wants to change their dog's behaviour.

Dear Glenis Thank you so much for your help with my owners who can now walk me with ease as I have stopped trying to drag them from pillar to post at every opportunity.
I also like them walking away from me and calling me in for treats. They have responded really well to training - especially my Dad who has tried his best.
My Mum is delighted that she has walked me on her own - she has this funny illness that makes her weak and prone to falling you see. I can now take care of her when we go out. Thank you for making is easy for us all. xxxx
Hope this a good testimonial Glenis as Lizzy insisted on doing it her way!!
